InnerChild® Essential Oil- Ask, Believe, Receive

“Your inner world creates your outer world.” 

I often use his statement for helping people understand how powerful and efficient essential oils can be for emotional health and balance. 

I have found that combining the Inner Child™ essential oil blend with restorative yoga poses is an effective and simple way to help peolpe move through emotionally charged issues. This blend helps bring levity to issues that have been so heavy and hurtful in our childhood memory banks.

Let’s dive a bit more about the Inner Child Release and this Essential Oil Blend.

Releasing Your Inner Child simply means that you let go of your childhood wounds and that you reconnect with parts of yourself that you have “lost” in your early years.

Perhaps there is the perception that you were “forced” to grow up a little too fast during your childhood. Your parents could have had little time for you, due to their busy work life. They were, after all, trying to do their best to run a household while making ends meet.

And so, there were periods in your early life that you had to shoulder responsibilities that you were ill-prepared for. It might be that you felt that you had to meet expectations that were way more than what was demanded of the other children. Inadvertently, you were not given enough love and care that you felt you needed.

As a child, you could also be resenting the fact that there was not enough play time back then. Just as you have some inkling of what time is, precious moments had already slipped by. You were stripped of the joy of childhood and thrust into the punishing pressures of school life.

Reconnecting with your inner child is NOT about turning back the clock because it will be impossible to.

Rather, it is about releasing the emotions left unresolved. Using the Inner Child Essential Oil Blend gives you the space to process the thoughts and emotions that are keeping you stuck to this day. If you are currently finding your life dull, you are lacking the sparkle of your inner child.

Using the Inner Child Essential Oil Blend

Some Kundalini Yoga Meditations and Kriyas incorporate inner child release, which I also use in my energy healing sessions. Using the essential oil blend has been a wonderful addition to my toolkit when helping people who are feeling uninspired and stuck. I use it with intention setting for emotional healing.

Here is a simple exercise you can practice with Inner Child:

Have the intention for your breath and this oil blend enter the part of your brain that stores all of your childhood memories—all of them—good, bad, and neutral. Intend that the time you are taking to stop and visit your internal landscape will help you clear out lingering childhood hurts or traumas. Remember: Your intention is a powerful tool for doing anything.

Lie on your back, bending your knees, with your knees touching each other. Place a firm pillow or rolled-up blanket under your knees to relieve any pressure in your lower back.

  • Part One:  Place a few drops of Inner Child in your left palm and gently rub your hands together three times. With a steady, even, and centering breath, inhale Inner Child and close your eyes. As you exhale, fully expel all of the air from your lungs and pause for two counts before your next inhalation. Keep inhaling Inner Child in this manner for 10 to 15 breaths. You may want to use an eye pillow to cover your eyes; this can help you have a more internal experience.
  • Part Two:  Reapply Inner Child to your left palm, gently rub your hands together, and this time rub the blend on your lower belly. Place your left hand at your forehead and your right hand at your lower belly and continue your breath. Close your eyes and breathe in the same manner as before.

From a body/mind perspective, the belly button represents our old consciousness and, of course, was our physical connection to our mother; the forehead represents new consciousness. This simple hand placement is a self-healing Polarity Therapy technique that can be used for calming the mind.

When you are complete, roll over onto your right side, bring your knees closer to your chest, and pause in the fetal position for five to 10 breaths. Place your hands on the floor and push your upper body up to a seated position, making sure that your head is last to come up.

As you come to a comfortable seated position, once again inhale the Inner Child from your palms. As you exhale release any lingering thoughts or emotions that are not currently serving you. On your next inhale, bring your arms out to the sides and up over your head, palms touching, and as you exhale, bring your hands in prayer position with your thumbs touching your chest. Take a few moments to feel into your heart, smile, and give gratitude for all the blessings in your life.

When we take the time to go within and make the choice to clear out negative emotions and memories from our past, we can build our outer life from a clean slate. And in my experience, Inner Child is the perfect blend to help you get started on your own path.

The child in you deserves some care and attention. It’s about time you meet the little child.
